Ada Nuñez is from Yoro, Honduras, and is sleeping with her children in the street at the foot of the International Bridge in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
"Where we live there are gangs, and they extort you, if you can't pay then they can kill you. It's very hard. That's why I left, with my kids, to try to find a better life than that.
The journey was dangerous, you are exposed, you are vulnerable to bad people.
I was kidnapped for 12 days, and if the ransom hadn't been paid by my brothers, I don't know what would have happened to me.
It's hard being away from your home, not having even the most basic conditions. I just ask God for his help, his unconditional support, he is always with you.
It's been hard to accept the reality, of where we are. We don't even have the money to return home at this point. The information we are being given isn't even true.
I am grateful to our brothers and sisters who come here to help us, it's a big blessing for us. They can see how grateful we are, God give them strength too."
