A Border Patrol/ICE operations centre built in tents at the border in Laredo. Asylum seekers are interviewed by internet camera link to a courtroom in San Antonio Texas, and under the new MPP protocol, they are almost all returned to wait in Mexico for their next - often pointless - hearing. Many people wait for months, and many, particularly on the other side of this border in Nuevo Laredo, are taken by criminal gangs who wait for them to be delivered to the other side of the border each day, for extortion and sex slavery.
