Selene Herrera Oliva, from Oaxaca, Mexico, sits in a tent on a CWS blanket.
Selene and her husband and children left Oaxaca because her husband was being targetted by a gang for not being able to pay a gang-imposed tax. Shortly before leaving Oaxaca, the gang had beaten her husband unconscious and left him injured. They are waiting for their asylum case to be heard, though they know that only about 5% of the cases are approved.
