A woman pumps water at a well built by World Renew partners Christian Extension Services. The village has no electricity and is not on a treated water network. The building of the well and pump brought a protected and convenient water supply to the village, reducing water-borne diseases and an enormous amount of carrying water that is a job done by women.
The small village of Seduya, Koinadugu is in a remote district of Kabala province, in northern Sierra Leone, an area heavily affected by the civil war in the 1990s. Working with partner Christian Extension Services, World Renew is helping the village with agricultural trainining to improve harvests and with sanitation and clean water supply.
