The UN climate talks called COP21 are being held in Paris. On the eve of the opening of the event, demonstrators gathered in the Place de la Republique in Paris, leaving shoes as a symbol of solidarity with eh nearly two million people expected to take part in a march today, but that was stopped for security reasons.
