Fr Ismael Moreno, known as Melo, is a Jesuit priest, human rights campaigner and the Director of Radio Progreso. He has received repeated and specific death threats recently, and the radio station has suffered attacks, including the sabotage of the transmission tower in Tegucigalpa.

After leading prayers at an ecumenical vigil outside the US embassy, he spoke about defending human rights in Honduras.

"The situation for us, human rights defenders, while Juan Orlando Hernandez is in power, is in permanent and growing danger".
