She is a member of the COAQUIL cooperative that is Fairtrade-certified, and the Fairtrade prices are keeping their heads above water as the international coffee market prices are very low. Many of the farmers in her area are selling coffee at a loss of around $50 a sack, the Fairtrade price is giving Olga a profit of around $30 a sack.
